DOMAIN COMMANDERIE DE LA BARGEMONE - THE EXPRESSION OF AN AUTHENTIC LAND
TRADITION AND MODERNITY
After its creation by the Templars in the 13th century, the property has belonged successively to the Count of Les Baux, the Arbaud de Bargemon and Thomassin Bargemon family who gave their name to the property. Jean-Pierre Rozan bought the domain LA COMMANDERIE DE LA BARGEMONE in 1968 and replanted the vineyard. In 2006 a new partnership between the ROZAN and GARIN families has motivated and commercialised new vintages.
The domain Commanderie de la BARGEMONE is spread over 150 hectares of which 66 hectares of vines, 56 hectares of red grapes and 10 hectares of white grapes. The delicate choice of the different varieties, Cinsault, Syrah, Grenache or Cabernet Sauvignon give the wines their specific quality and a remarkable consistency.
The wines of the "Commanderie de la Bargemone" are characterised by the smoothness of their structures. They are traditional and typical of the region of Provence.
The prestige wines called "Marina" and "Elizabeth" are more complex and sophisticated.
A VINEYARD IN BIOLOGICAL CONVERSION
Our will to work in the protection of environment and of the vineyard directs us, quite naturally towards organic farming. The organic farming is a system of production which excludes the use of artificial fertilizers, pesticides of synthesis, GMO and limits the use of inputs.
All the domain of Bargemone entered into a phase of biological conversion, it corresponds to the phase of transition between the conventional agriculture farming and the organic farming. We chose the certification organization Qualisud as our follow-up, inspection and audit, this body is accredited by the entity COFRAC.
