VINEYARDS AND WINERY :

Organic viticulture demands precision and consistency. At La Bargemone we monitor our processes closely throughout the year, both in the vineyard and the winery. Grapes are harvested at night to preserve freshness.
The fruit is chilled again before being crushed. The must is then vatted and cold-soaked for 5 days at 2ºC before starting fermentation at 16ºC. Each variety is vinified separately. Wines are blended in December, and bottling starts at the beginning of the new year.

COMPOSITION: 50% Syrah, 50% Cabernet-Sauvignon
ABV : 14% Vol.
AGEING POTENTIAL : 2 years

2021 HARVEST
The 2020 harvest was far from average. Although fruit was plentiful, bouts of heavy rainfall meant we had to speed up our rate of picking. Then, while bud-burst had been 10 days early, harvesting started around two weeks later than in previous years, giving the grapes extra time to enjoy the sunshine and develop a range of fruity, floral aromas.

TASTING NOTES
Deep garnet red colour and vibrant scents of red berry fruit along with notes of blackcurrant. A bright, lively attack, soon giving way to a delicious smoothness and delightful finish with lingering flavours of red berry fruit.
