Bargemone is among the foremost estates of the Coteaux d’Aix appellation of Provence. A benchmark producer of the delicious, dry rosé for which Provence is famous, the Commanderie was founded by Templar knights in the 13th century, and is home to a pro ud viticultural tradition and more than 160 acres of sustainably grown vineyards.
163 acres under vine, with 138 acres red varieties (Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Counoise) and 25 acres white varieties (Sauvignon Blanc and Rolle (Vermentino)). Stony, clay/limestone soils.

Rosé wine : 50% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 25% Syrah, 25% Grenache
White wine : 90% Rolle, 10% Sauvignon Blanc
Yields of 4 tons/acre. Vines average 26 years in age, except for the Rolle and Sauvignon Blanc, from new 4 to 7 year old vineyards. Harvested very early in the morning to preserve freshness of the grapes
After pressing musts settled into Stainless Vats then keep in cold during 3 to 5 days (at 41°F) before the fermentation starts. Followed by 10 days fermentation at 59°F. No malolactic conversion. Vinified entirely in stainless steel tanks.
Grapes varieties are then blended during December and then bottled young.

White wine : 13,5%
