A joyful red wine infused with fruit and freshness: that’s Bascule. A day of manual family harvesting, healthy syrah vines, and the winemaker’s father tipping over from the top of the large ladder placed on the vat. Two broken ribs, one cuvée name! In the cellar, we worked with carbonic maceration, a technique that involves fermenting whole clusters in a tank saturated with carbon dioxide gas from the fermentation of other grapes. The mouthfeel is supple and crisp, like an infusion of fresh berries. Spontaneous fermentation thanks to the indigenous yeasts already present on the grapes. Bascule is certified with the “Vin Méthode Nature” label.
